Manufacturing and Global Procurement Blades BLEC Mechanical Engineering
The BLEC Tooling department is responsible for developing and delivering blades production tools for Vestas Blades NPI projects and production. The team is consisting of 18 multicultural engineers and specialists, where We now are looking for a new colleague for our Mechanical Engineering team. The team is placed in 3 different locations in Lem, Nakskov and Isle of Wight. This position is to strengthen our team in Lem, and You will be one of our cornerstones in the team.
We are part of Blades Launch & Introduction Centre (BLEC), which is responsible for delivery of our manufacturing production design, including special projects, development of processes and tooling for the blades.
Responsibilities
You will be leading development of tooling solutions for the new blade products in Vestas by deep interaction with our NPI factory, product development and external suppliers. In order to achieve goals you will be asked to:

Manufacturing and Global Procurement Blades BLEC Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities
You will be leading development of tooling solutions for the new blade products in Vestas by deep interaction with our NPI factory, product development and external suppliers. In order to achieve goals you will be asked to:
- Set safety as first priority, hereby in line with HS&E policy.
- Secure quality in all deliverables. Both in processes and physical equipment
- Taking lead into specific technology areas and formulate future technology roadmaps.
- Supervise the developing of new blade manufacturing tools, with focus on modularization.
- Participate in developing supplier base within own area
- Being a ""Go to"" person as you are the specialist, and thereby the role model for the team.
- Motivate and inspire your colleagues through your technical leadership
- Responsible for providing the most robust, reliable, and efficient solutions with highest performance at the lowest cost
Qualifications
- Engineering degree, either Bachelor or Master level.
- Extensive knowledge from Manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing.
- Experience and specific results from larger manufacturing companies. Min. 5 years
Competencies
- You are a team-oriented person, securing all deliverables to the highest quality standard
- Structured mindset, with specific attention to the details.
- Experience from specification management of larger technical installation and manufacturing equipment on a global scale.
- Capable of propelling technical projects cross departments and cultures, and meeting deadlines.
- Capable of solving problems by using relevant methods and tools with a "hands-on" approach. (root cause analysis, 5xwhy etc.)
- Ability to work with complex solution covering tools, processes and materials
- You are skilled at communicating in English, both written and spoken
