For our newly established Tool & Equipment Management (TEM) Operation department located in Offshore Construction, we are looking for an Equipment concept engineer. The scope of the task is to derive and consolidate requirements on new tools and equipment to be designed.
The TEM Equipment Operation team has the responsibilities to support installation projects globally. The team owns the full operational value chain; hence we are present in all main equipment decisions from design to execution of installation projects. A special effort is put on securing high uptime of the equipment throughout its lifetime through an integrated feedback loop, linking user experience to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement programs.

As our new Equipment Concept Engineer you will analyze data of equipment breakdowns to secure root cause transparency based on feedback from operational use of the equipment as well as provide technical input to new equipment development based on lessons learned and other experience from collection of field use.

The ideal candidate holds a technical engineering degree or alternatively substantial experience from design and use of wind turbine equipment and have experience with service / fault finding on mechanical and/or electrical equipment is of high value. You have previous experience with hands-on offshore operations, preferably with wind turbines as well as previous experience performing and leading mechanical and/or electrical equipment tests

- Own and know the technical specification on new equipment
- Drive cost-efficient requirement specification and find optimums on equipment coverage across new turbines
- Facilitate the process around Product Requirement specification on new equipment with input from all relevant stakeholders
- Support in increasing the level of knowledge regarding use of installation equipment among primary users
- Support on new equipment implementation to sites
What you need to make a difference
