Heading a global Civil Engineering department in a leading consultancy within the renewable industry
Are you an experienced manager with a civil/structural engineering background and are you ready to lead a Civil Engineering department with 3 team leads and 20+ highly skilled engineers? Can you set directions and show the way forward through proactive, transparent and visible leadership? Then you may be the candidate we are looking for.
We experience a rapid growth in the demand for our services all over the world and thus also an increased demand for our civil engineering services. As our previous manager has chosen to seek other opportunities, we are currently looking for a new experienced and technical strong people manager. With reference to the Divisional Director, Engineering, you will be responsible for building the department and services around a mutually agreed strategy.
You will be based at one of our premises in Denmark (Aarhus/Copenhagen), Germany (Hamburg) or Portugal (Lisbon). As K2 Management is a growing company worldwide, this position will offer significant career and learning opportunities for the right candidate.

Areas of responsibility
- Lead, develop and coach the civil engineering department to secure a high satisfaction, motivation and retention.
- Ensure that the Civil Engineering team provides accurate work in the right quality, on time and budget, to clients and projects
- Sign off for all K2 Management Civil/Structural Engineering work
- Develop a global strategy and plan for the growth of the Civil Engineering department
- Secure continuous improvement of processes, tools and technical capabilities on a global scale
- Secure resource and portfolio management of activities related to Civil Engineering
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders across the organisation in a global matrix set-up
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering combined with 10+ years of engineering experience and 7+ years of design experience
- 3+ years of offshore wind experience
- Proven experience with leading a Civil Engineering department in a global and growing company
- Good business acumen
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing
