Job Description
Danfoss is looking for an Assistant Engineer to join our R&D team in High Pressure Pumps (HPP) to support within a wide variety of tasks. This includes conceptual work with lead design engineers, Design for Manufacturing review of new designs both with internal staff as well as with external suppliers, coordination of prototype parts in manufacturing and delivery and to follow-up on test results. In short, you will be a key player in bringing the virtual design from idea into reality!
Hence, you will experience the full value chain of Technology and New Product Development within Danfoss.
Amongst our key products are pumps and energy recovery devices used in equipment for fresh water production through reverse osmosis, dust and fire suppression, humidification, waste water filtration and gas turbines. We are more than 100 visionary and innovative colleagues in HPP who develop, manufacture and deliver component and system solutions based on high pressure hydraulic pumps and valves.
Background and skills
There is more than one way to qualify for this position, but it would be suitable/preferred if you have a background as a skilled worker with experience from a machining, turning, milling industry. You have flair for working with manufacturing tolerances at the micron-level and understand the requirements for achieving complex geometries with tight tolerances. You are familiar in a range of IT, software and drawing tools.

- Contribute to the practical side of prototyping; from manufacturing and supply of components to internal and external testing
- Keep a close dialog with prototype suppliers, ensuring misunderstandings are minimized and the right quality is delivered at the right time
- Work hands-on with new customized special test setups.
