Sirdal Skisenter, Tjørhom, Norway, is looking for full time seasonal staff as a ski technician.

Ski rental is one of the most exciting areas of work we have here in Sirdal Skisenter. Here you work as the face of the company, and in close contact with customers. The days here are hectic and varied, and you will work efficiently and systematically to satisfy the guests' needs. As a ski technician you have previous experience and knowledge of repairing ski/snowboard equipment.

As a ski technician/ski rental staff employee, you are subject to the service department and your immediate superior is the ski rental manager.

Your tasks

• Repair and service ski and snowboard equipment, assists guests renting equipment.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with efficient, friendly service.
• Wax and tune skis and snowboards.
• Adjust bindings on skis and snowboards.
• Stock and clean repair area.
• Remove or relocate snow as needed.
• Assist guests renting equipment and lift passes
• Act as an information channel between the company and our guests
• Cleaning of the premises
• Training will be provided.
• Attributes

We are looking for a peron who:

• Has Knowledge of the ski industry.
• Has previous work experience with tuning equipment; Base grinders/Stone grinders/Edge machines (Wintersteiger).
• Has competence in: waxing, edge angles, base repairs including core shot repair, stone grind patterns, edge repairs, mounting/adjusting and testing ski bindings.
• Attention to detail
• Previous ski/snowboard repair experience
• Is efficient, accurate and systematic.
• Has good communication skills.
• Is solution-oriented.
• Is friendly and positive.
• Is positive to physical work.
• Is willing to learn.
• Is responsible
• Is flexible.
• Has the ability to cope with stress and pressure.

About the working conditions

As a seasonal employee at Sirdal Skisenter, you have an employment contract from the beginning of December to Easter Sunday. Greater work pressure must be expected during holidays (Christmas, winter holidays, Easter holidays and summer holidays), while it decreases in the inter-seasons (spring and autumn).

It is expected that everyone who applies for positions in Sirdal Skisenter & Sommerpark is available to be able to work weekends and holidays (Christmas, winter holiday Rogaland (week 9) and Easter holiday).

As an employee of Sirdal Skisenter, you are paid according to age.

All seasonal employees full-time at Sirdal Skisenter are automatically part of our evacuation team and are expected to attend training sessions in connection with this.
