We are looking for a skilled Senior .Net developer. We are developing the future strategic solutions as well as maintaining the existing solutions. This is a great opportunity to work with new technologies in a team that have exciting projects in the coming years.
As a developer in Data Distribution we are serving the data management in Nordea wholesale banking and you will be in close dialogue with the business, product owners and other IT teams to develop and improve current solutions.

Your future responsibilities
You’ll join Nordea Data Distribution in Wholesale Banking. Data Distribution is the IT team that delivers the IT solutions for the Data Management organization. We are fast paced, have a high coding standard, openminded and honest – and we create an environment where we can bring out the best.
We are building the strategic solution for Trading&Investment COO office from the ground up, leveraging on technologies like .NET, Apache Kafka, ServiceStack and in a scalable and robust architecture. Alongside the development of the strategic platform, we are also maintaining the tactical solutions build over the last decade – decommission is part of the plan, and you get to sit in the driver’s seat when defining the technologies and methodologies used to move from tactical solutions into strategic solutions. The tactical solutions are built around a central Oracle SQL, utilizing primarily – but not limited to – Microsoft technologies.
As a senior developer, you will work together with our expert developer on defining the technologies, architectural principles, and timing of decommission of tactical solutions. We support your growth and development by following structured mentoring conversations with your immediate manager. Your development goals are defined yearly and followed up upon quarterly.
Task and responsibilities:
- Developing new functionality to the strategic platforms.
- Maintaining and extend the existing solutions primarily based on Microsoft technologies
- Communicating with stakeholders from the business side as well as the IT stakeholders
- Grow the positive attitude in the team

We expect you to have a bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or similar. You have experience with working with Microsoft .NET technologies, (Core and 4.x) but you also have a knowledge about PL/SQL T-SQL. You actively search for solutions and are not afraid of asking questions or challenge the business on their requirements.
You love to work in an agile and fast-moving organization where IT plays a key role in making us a success. You value your code highly and you have the customer focus in the things you develop. Experience from larger IT projects, preferably as a consultant. Good communication skills in both written and spoken English are required. You master to turn IT lingo into a language that business will understand. You know how your developed IT systems can add value to business.
You have worked with multiple of the following technologies:
- .NET, core and 4.x - C#
- SQL Server/Oracle DBs
- RESTful webservices and microservice architecture
- Apache Kafka
- VS2015/2017
