On behalf of a leading medtech company, Randstad is looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Finance Director in Greater Copenhagen. You will be responsible for the strategic direction and management of Finance and IT functions to deliver operational excellence as part of the overall business strategy.
As the new Finance Director, you will lead the Finance and IT function and become a key member of the business senior management team within the growing industry of medtech. With direct reporting to the CEO, you will play an active part in generating profitable growth for the business whilst being accountable for the financial planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles. In addition, the role offers autonomy and decision-making opportunities and will require you to utilize your experience, credibility, and interpersonal skills to influence the organization as well as identifying improvement opportunities to existing procedures.
With more than 200 years in business, the company has established a recognized and respected brand across the industry of medtech, which is an expanding and growing area of business right now and will be for many years to come.
In this role, key responsibilities involve hands-on tasks in terms of the general reporting and controlling as well as strategic tasks relating to forecasting and growth plans for the business, which will be the primary area of focus over time. As the new Finance Director, you will get the opportunity to develop and build the finance team, which supports the direction of the company.
Other key tasks involve the following:
- Partnering with the CEO and Leadership team to set and implement the business strategy and enable growth by developing a detailed understanding of the business goals and demonstrating functional expertise
- Overall responsibility for coordinating and delivering budgeting and forecasting processes and long-term business planning
- Accountability for driving performance versus budget and forecasts
- Driving the annual budget process for the business, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Ensuring that budgets are controlled and managed
- Delivering accurate and timely information for the management team as an aid to operational delivery (i.e. flash reports, data analytics)
- Overall accountability for month-end, quarterly and year-end financial processes for the business
- Directing the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of organizational processes in the Finance Department.

- Qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent)
- Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience in financial management, accounting, auditing, and business controlling
- Previous experience working in an operational finance role as well experience working for a larger accountant firm
- Industry-specific knowledge is an asset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including numeracy and the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely
- Knowledge of ERP systems and Excel, specifically Jeeves and HFM systems experience would be beneficial
