Job Description
Position Summary:

Provide leadership and business/financial acumen to the Global Operations organization to help drive achievement of company objectives and initiatives.

Provide financial leadership and develop the finance organization to drive improvements within the business. Provide direction and drive support structure for financial processes including transaction process and Global Operations function. Accountable for the IDD Operations financial processes; annual operating plan (AOP) process, quarterly forecasting and monthly/quarterly business review processes.

This position offers the right candidate an influential seat at the table of a dynamic business and provides a substantial opportunity for career development and growth. The finance director will partner closely with Vice President Operations to provide financial expertise, analysis and support.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Partner with VP Operations
  • Lead the global IDD Operations finance team. Build strong team and develop key talents.
  • Partner with Global Operations team to drive actionable analytics around PPI, productivity and restructuring as a part of monthly standard work. Focus should be on identifying and recommending actions to optimize actual results and better forecast future results.
  • Responsible for driving divisional results related to all gross margin elements (Direct Material, Direct Labor and Overhead). Lead the divisions drive from a financial perspective to wage war on waste (Excess/Obsolete Inventory, Warranty, Scrap).
  • Primary owner of divisional Inventory and DOS Performance, including metrics reviewed during monthly and quarterly business reviews with Corporate. Drive management of inventory to reduce DOS while minimizing E&O risks.
  • Pro-actively analyze financial data trends, making and driving process improvements with the operations leadership team; and present significant business issues to senior management and propose actions.
  • Improve on tools utilized by finance team and management for key decisions.
  • Responsible to provide timely, accurate and insightful reporting to the Operations leaders as requested and as required to ensure key business issues are communicated and acted upon in a timely manner.
  • Identify, communicate, and recommend/implement corrective actions
  • Business case preparation and financial analysis/justifications of investment projects and customer contract proposals for larger/more strategic projects as assigned. Includes financial modeling to ensure appropriate resource allocation and return on investment.
  • Analyze the global financial information and assist in the evaluation of alternatives to drive growth
  • Assist in the development and preparation of annual strategic plan, annual budget, monthly forecasts, and monthly results analysis
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining adequate financial processes and controls in all locations pertaining to GAAP and SOX compliance. Liaise with internal/external auditors to identify issues and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization in Operations finance.
  • Establish effective working relationships with global IDD Operations business leaders.
  • Drive creation and assist in delivery of executive presentations
  • Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting as required
