Konsulenthuset ballisager is recruiting on behalf of our customer.
Do you have what it takes to develop and manage our Finance, Controlling and Administration function and to run the team with exceptional people skills? And can you contribute to the Danish management team whilst meeting regulatory requirements?
We are an international company that is looking for a key member to the Senior Management team in Denmark. We are looking for a CFO who wants to do take a steppingstone into a huge organization and be a business partner of the CEO/SMT, advising the CEO and his team to grow business strategically via financial and business decision support, business risk assessment etc.

Ready to take the lead and mark the financial line?
Are you eager to set and lead our finance team and build processes and systems to ensure productive financial operations through leading, recruiting, training, and organizing the development of a motivated finance and controlling team? Then have a look at your possible new to do list that your role will cover:
- Financial planning & budgeting - Including forecasting, estimates and supporting the strategic direction for the group / business unit / function and developing these into short (Budget) and medium-term plans.
- Business Controlling - Drive financial and operational performance and initiate corrective measures to achieve profitability targets. Manage cost modelling process and profitability analysis (by product, customer, lane, etc.)
- Project Controlling/Investment Review – Supporting business in evaluating business proposals with a view to maximizing returns whilst minimizing risk.
- Tax Management/Planning - In conjunction with corporate tax and utilizing internal or external country tax expertise, ensure optimal tax position for the business.
- Accounting activities – Oversee delivery of all activities for the country in scope
- Commercial Support – Supporting business partners in commercial negotiations with customers, suppliers with particular reference to pricing, payment terms, liability cover, termination costs and credit risk.
- Cash Flow and Net working Capital management
Your strategic input counts
As our new CFO you will report to and work with the Danish management team on all financial matters. You do not just advise on methods to turn our numbers into better scores you also drive the development of a strategic financial plan and execute on it.
You are not just any CFO
You are a highly skilled and already grown as a financial leader the last 5-8 years or more. You also have a proven track record in people management, which we will value highly. The ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance colleagues is essential. Personal attributes such as assertive, persistent, able to challenge, achievement drive and initiative is must-haves for this role.
Internal communication is in Danish, but you do need a good commandment in communication and articulation in English since there will be monthly meetings with the Nordic & Baltic team.
Welcome on board!
We require a proven team leader experience with excellent feedback on leadership capability.
You have a relevant university degree, professional accounting qualifications og equivalent – such as MBA, audit qualification, and experience of financial transformation initiatives. And if you can influence at senior level and deal with senior stakeholders or have experience with cooperating with management and board it will be and asset.
