The job:
For a project exploring the creation of a full seize quantum computer our customer is looking for a highly motivated individual to strengthen their electrical characterization of quantum materials and devices. The ideal candidate is familiar with and has hands-on experience in high-precision measurement instruments and electrical testing of semiconductor devices.
The work scope ranges from measurement of III-V-material-based electrical devices at cryogenic temperatures, along with analysis, organization and presentation of the measurement data. Work with be performed in close collaboration with III-V growth & qubit engineering teams to continuously review and improve device performance. Prior experience in techniques such as electrical transistor characterization, cryogenic low noise measurements, data analysis, programming (Python, Matlab) is strongly preferred.
This position is for a characterization engineer who will help to further improve and strengthen our lab infrastructure which is critical to support our development work.
Our lab is among the largest quantum labs in Europe and will provide the candidate with many opportunities to make a positive impact in highly dynamic environment of scientists and engineers trying to push the boundaries of quantum computing.

Requirements:
- 1+ year experience using at least two of the following for electrical testing on regular basis: SMUs, LCR meter, analog pre-amplifiers, semiconductor parameter analyzer, lock-in amplifier
- At least one year experience writing Python scripts to control lab equipment and analyze data, basic understanding of Git.
- Masters in physics or engineering, with at least 1 year of laboratory experience or equivalent.
- Interested in solving technical problems that require collaboration with differently skilled technicians/engineers.
- Highly organized, efficient, timely, precise, and team oriented.
- Good in documenting and sharing.
- Fluent in written & oral English with strong communication skills.
