About Femern Link Contractors



The Fehmarnbelt Connection is one of Europe's most comprehensive construction projects ever. It is run by an organization of close to 500 staff building the world’s longest immersed tunnel and the longest tunnel for both road and rail traffic. It will consist of a motorway and rail connection including an 18 km long tunnel that will allow travelling faster and safer between Scandinavia and continental Europe. It will take less than 3 hours to travel by train between Hamburg & Copenhagen (currently, 4½ hours).

Appointed by the owner, Femern A/S, Femern Link Contractors (FLC), is the Joint Venture in charge of the Design & Construction of the immersed tunnel, including the tunnel portals and ramps. The Joint Venture is constituted by a series of international civil works companies - all with individual experience in major infrastructure projects.
FLC’s joint venture partners are all committed to jointly cooperate to deliver a state-of-the-art immersed tunnel, portals & ramps that is timely and safely executed, in a sustainable and ethical manner.

The Job


For FLC, Landau Headhunting is now looking for an experienced and insightful Senior Project Control Manager to to provide the Controls Division team with the expertise to deliver the project in the most effective manner and with solid scheduling & reporting updates and KPI status.

At the Execution Stage you will: 1) Monitor, update, and communicate the variances of current status and the impact of project changes and variations, 2) Support, monitor, update, analyse and communicate the Risks and Opportunities of the Project.

So, in this role, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead a team of 4 planners.
  • Develop tools and optimize processes for the monthly progress program reporting together with the cost control and planning team.
  • Support the collection of data to establish the monthly progress program in P6.
  • Support, develop and implement Lean and Last Planner System within the whole execution team as well as collect and present the key figures, KPI of their production, and various S curves. Propose together with execution manager any improvements based on the analysis of the production data presented.
  • Prepare and update as appropriate any supporting documents for potential claims, change management (cost calculation, schedule impact analysis).
  • Prepare and update as appropriate the contractual Baseline Programme (P6 Primavera) (including contractual milestones) complying with the TXX contracts.

Your Skills & Experience


We expect you to have an engineering background with experience in heavy infrastructure construction, contract and claims knowledge as well as risks and opportunities management, with the ability to work with strict deadlines and an eagerness to learn and develop a career in the Project Control, claims, risks and opportunities field.

Being the ideal candidate, we presume that you possess the following qualifications:

  • Min. bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • +10 years’ experience in Planning, Scheduling and Control in EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) of Heavy Infrastructure projects.
  • Competency with CPM scheduling software Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM.
  • Expert competency in Excel and Power-Bi.
  • Competency with Lean Construction approach and Last Planner System implementation and precision in every detail.
  • The ability to reconcile time and cost information.
  • Knowledge and practical application of FIDIC or NEC form of contracts.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good organizational skills, including the ability to organize the work of a team to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Fluent in English; good command of technical terms. Danish or German would be an advantage.

Conditions of Employment


FLC considers transparent management structures, short decision-making channels, and a team-oriented environment to be extremely important. The FLC staff is expected to set themselves targets, achieve them independently, and take responsibility for their actions – irrespective of their position in the company.

The role is ideally situated full time in Rødby but can also be divided as follows: Rødby office 3 days a week / Copenhagen office 2 days a week. In any case, we expect you to be very flexible and to be able to work at different places (Rødby, Copenhagen and Fehmarn).

FLC offers attractive employment conditions on a permanent Danish contract according to The Danish Salaried Employees Act (Funktionærloven). Pension health insurance and lunch arrangement will be available.
