For our Nordic Data, Digital and Technology team we are looking for a new Evidence Generation Lead who will support the design and implementation of innovative Real-World Evidence (RWE) strategies and activities, that unlock the full potential of data and digital in the Nordics.

For this role you can be based in and work out of our takeda offices in Norway, Finland, Sweden, or Denmark.

As our new Evidence Generation Lead, we are looking for your multi-disciplinary interest in epidemiology, health economics, and data science - all in combination with a desire to work on strategic business problems. And finally, we get to use your strong collaboration skills relevant to working across an international organization.

To succeed in this role, you will be leveraging your experience conducting observational research studies and projects from various data sources to generate evidence that serves patients, HCPs, and health care systems.

PURPOSE

  • Drive the Evidence Generation and Management agenda in the Nordic Data, Digital and Technology team to ensure maximizing the data of the future capability.

  • Expand takeda's Nordic leadership in Evidence Generation by utilizing the advanced Nordic data environment to serve the needs of patients and customers in the Nordics and beyond.

  • Translate existing evidence needs in prioritized therapeutic areas into RWE projects to enable fast and broad access to care.


ACCOUNTABILITES

  • Understand evidence generation needs for pipeline and priority assets across all therapeutic areas by aligning with Nordic, Regional and Global partners.

  • Utilize appropriate research methods and data sources to deliver high-value and quality real-world research to the Nordic region.

  • Bridge communication within European and Global teams to highlight Nordic evidence needs and observational research capabilities.

  • Provide expertise and support in end-to-end execution of observational studies and projects (e.g., analytic insights, statistical methodology, interpretation, and presentation of results) to partners in the Nordic region.

  • Single point of contact for Evidence Generation & Management in the New Product Planning Teams focusing on pipeline assets, driving the assessment of evidence needs per assets as well as identification and execution of opportunities for cross-Nordic RWE research in close collaboration with Nordic functions such as Medical- and Access representatives.


CORE ELEMENTS RELATED TO THIS ROLE

  • Acquiring deep knowledge of data sources and broader RWD landscape.

  • Good understanding of analytical and statistical analyses, clinical trials, and epidemiology.

  • Knowledge in data analytics and visualization in order to understand how to drive data-driven insights for enhanced and accelerated decision making.

  • Collaboration skills relevant to working across an international organization with multiple stakeholders in the Nordic, Regional and Global regions.

  • Engage in a structured, collaborative, and scientifically rigorous way with external research partners to identify relevant research questions and data.

  • Ability to think and act strategically.

  • Operations Management and Execution of Project Management.


EDUCATION, AND SKILLS

The responsibilities require a strong background in observational research design and experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • MSc or PhD in a scientific area (epidemiology, human biology, medicine, statistics, or health economics)

  • 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry, or experience from a CRO where you have been conducting observational research and evidence generation (health economic modelling/ outcome research/ data analysis).

  • Proven knowledge of evidence generation activities (HEOR modelling, RWE, indirect treatment comparisons, PRO, or interventional studies).

  • Experience with programming, understanding, and executing concepts of data science, including data visualization, is a plus,

  • Hands-on experience with handling, processing, analysis, and visualization of (digital) health data, is preferable.

  • Understanding of the lifecycle of compounds, competition, disease areas.

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
