Sustainability specialist

We are searching for a sustainability specialist
This position is based at our friendly office in either Roskilde, Denmark or Warsaw, Poland and you will join our People & Communications division. The P&C Business Partnering & Sustainability team is in charge of both supporting bec with great P&C Business Partnering and initiatives within the Sustainability agenda.

The role as a sustainability specialist offers the possibility to support the sustainability agenda within bec and to set ambitious goals for our sustainability tasks. First and foremost, the main purpose of the role is to participate in securing bec being on the forefront to secure compliance with sustainability legislation.

At bec, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month.

Your direct manager will be Vicki Maria Aagaard Pedersen.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Supporting compliance within sustainability legislation. This entails becoming compliant with CSRD (corporate sustainability reporting directive) and other associated legislative areas (like EU taxonomy/CSDDD)
• Manage projects, participate in the core CSRD team & ensure involvement of functional subject matter experts
• Co-responsible for the structure needed for collecting the data for the yearly reporting
• Supporting that yearly sustainability reporting is delivered accordingly to deadline and legislative requirements and in line with bec annual report
• Risk monitoring and sparring with the organization

To succeed you will have:

• A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge within sustainability
• Motivation for structuring data and great competencies with Excel
• Experience with project management
• Great communication skills both oral and in writing
• Good collaboration skills

It’s nice-to-have:

• Experience within tech or banking
• Skills within power point
• CSRD knowledge
• Experience with translating legislative communication
