Structure and planning is key in our maintenance activities
At Aalborg Portland, one of the largest cement plants in Europe, you work in a process industry with massive machinery and complex, powerful processes involving chemical, physical, electrical and mechanical tasks carried out on a very large scale.
Our Planner is required to apply maintenance methodology, define operational steps, safety requirement for each workorder, manpower, spare parts, and other necessary tools to achieve efficient and safe operation in line with technical standards. The incumbent is also expected to lead, manage, and improve the use of management tools, procedures, and methodologies in maintenance.
Your main tasks:
You are a driven and structured engineer with people-skills
You are a mechanical engineer (or have a similar background) with solid experience in the heavy industry. Your experience include at least 1 year working in a maintenance function.
You are expected to have strong technical knowledge of mechanical equipment. This knowledge include knowledge of preventive, predictive and systematic maintenance (databases, CMMS, MS Project).
As our new planner, you have to improve our bigger maintenance projects due to structure and planning. You have to ensure that the projects has the adequate foundation for meeting the quality demands and expectations.
You are fluent in English in speech and writing. Aalborg Portland uses SAP, so knowledge of this is beneficial, but not a must!
You finish the projects you start and like being in a production environment. You are outgoing and trustworthy and you are able to challenge and improve existing procedures.
Besides experience and a structured/systematic mindset you have well-developed people-skills, you are ambitious and have can-do attitude.

- Responsible for ensuring that all necessary equipment, parts, and services are available to perform the scheduled maintenance work
- Establish, maintain, and improve the maintenance planning and scheduling flow process and support increase of efficiency in execution
- Scope the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair, preventative, and predictive activities on the plant equipment
- Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work
