The Quality Competence Centre of Cementir Holding, located at the RQC in Aalborg Portland, is looking for an ambitious and qualified specialist to ensure a high standard of ongoing activities related to cement chemistry and mineralogy of building materials. You will report to Laboratory Supervisor and be part of a well-established and result-oriented team of 16 colleagues. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing materials ranging from the raw materials from cement production through to concrete, using state of the art methods including QXRD, SEM and optical microscopy, and DTA.

The Quality Competence Centre of Cementir Holding, located at the RQC in Aalborg Portland, is looking for an ambitious and qualified specialist to ensure a high standard of ongoing activities related to cement chemistry and mineralogy of building materials. You will report to Laboratory Supervisor and be part of a well-established and result-oriented team of 16 colleagues. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing materials ranging from the raw materials from cement production through to concrete, using state of the art methods including QXRD, SEM and optical microscopy, and DTA.
You will also be responsible for:
- Development of mineralogical methods with primary focus on both XRD, SEM and petrographic microscopy of raw materials, clinker, cement, and concrete.
- Participation in external and cross organizational projects mainly with focus on mineralogy.
- Raising awareness of RQT's capabilities in mineralogical methods
- Manage practical research and development tasks related to mineralogy
- Perform the characterization of raw materials, raw meal, and clinker to all plants of Cementir Holding
- Case handling related to customer complaints and claims (mineralogical aspects)
- Handle and assist in ad hoc assignments
- Maintenance of XRD, SEM, microscopes and DTA instruments
- Benchmarking activities to compare performance internally and with competitors’ products

We expect that you have:
- A relevant Master’s degree or equivalent, e.g., within material science or geology
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Technical writing proficiency
- Excellent written & oral communication, and documentation skills
- Professional level of English both oral and written
- Knowledge regarding cement production or concrete technology is an advantage but not a requirement
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
