On behalf of Tetra Pak Processing Systems A/S we are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join their team in Aarhus.
The Automation Engineering Team, located in Aarhus, Denmark, is a competent and innovative team of 24 colleagues who have the responsibility for development and design of automation solutions for production equipment in the ice cream industry.
As a senior automation engineer, your daily tasks will be of technical nature but also coordination in your area of expertise. You will be one of the go-to specialists in the team and with your specialist knowledge, you will help with developing high-tech automation solutions, support your colleagues worldwide with troubleshooting and commissioning the equipment.
As senior automation engineer you will furthermore:
• Design, development and implementation of PLC based software solutions for the equipment
• Continuously improve the existing software solutions and version manage the code base
• Test and verification of software solutions and validate functionality of equipment
• Broad contact within the organization throughout all phases in the projects
• Regular contact with colleagues from Tetra Pak's global market companies and customers for technical/commercial support.
• Commissioning and troubleshooting via remote connection or at customer site
• Provide and secure input to technical documentation and manuals
To succeed in this role, it’s important to be a very solid technician with a-class interpersonal skills. You have strong communication skills – the ability to interact with people, be it stakeholders, colleagues or customers is essential. We also see some of the main criteria to becoming a success as:
• Professional engineer with knowledge of electrical, automation and/or control engineering
• Minimum B.Sc. level degree in the field of Engineering or similar
• More than 5 years of experience in development and design of modular automation solutions, preferably in the food processing industry
• Work experience on PLC platforms such as Siemens S7, TIA Portal and/or Allen Bradley
• Solid knowledge of software verification methods and release management
• An embedded desire of being up to date with the latest trends in industrial automation
• You are a problem solver (analytical, systematic and structured) with a strong personal drive
• Proficiency in Danish or English language is required
• Willingness to travel 15-30 days/year
