On behalf of Tetra Pak, Randstad is looking for a skilled communicator who wants to join the Department of Technical Documentation. The team of seven people is located in Aarhus, but also works in close cooperation with Technical Communicators in Sweden, China, and Germany.
As a Technical Communicator, your main job will be to communicate technical information and processes in easy-to-understand instructions. Tetra Pak use Arbortext Editor to create DITA XML-based content. When producing new material, they consistently strive to improve the benefits of the DITA XML format by focusing on content reuse and structured writing. You will play an active part in developing and improving these processes, methods, and content.
You have a background in communication, language, or engineering. You can be an experienced communicator, or you can be a fresh graduate. Most importantly is that you are open to learn and to develop.
The position is based in Aarhus, Denmark
• Create topic-based content for user manuals and electronic spare part catalogues
• Ensure that all documents meet legal requirements and company standards
• Edit illustrations in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Update and maintain Tetra Pak’s task planning system
• Order translations from an external translation agency
• Collaborate with other Technical Communicators in creating best practices
• Independently lead internal projects of various complexity
• A background in communications
• Preferably some years of work experience in a similar field (technical writing or other type of content writing)
• Excellent English writing/communication skills (British English)
• Flair for structured writing and the ability to understand complex technical processes and communicate them to others
• General good IT skills
• Experience in the following software is an advantage, but not a requirement: MS Office 365, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Windchill, PTC Arbortext Editor
• Experience in communicating across functions and cultural differences
• Good interpersonal skills
• Comfortable initiating and leading projects
• Analytical skills and a systematic work approach
• Enjoy working both independently as well as in a team
