What you will do:

Johnson Controls is seeking the best welding engineer with expertise and a passion for quality work as a team member, working closely with the manufacturing, engineering, and supplier organizations.

You should have the knowledge and ability to drive the welding quality for our factory in Holme, Aarhus. As a welding Engineer, you will have a significant interface with the Sabroe Factory organization, collaborating closely with our NDT department and our production.

You will be responsible for the overall management of welding quality in accordance with EN ISO 14731. Your primary focus will be to ensure compliance to the standard and to coordinate and supervise in the welding area, in accordance with the legal requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). Also, your focus will be on keeping the welding procedure and the documentation up to date.

How you will do it:

We are seeking an individual with a positive and respectful approach, who takes ownership of their responsibilities. You can drive and lead proactively, taking necessary actions as required. You are the type of person who can independently make things happen and keeping the documentation sharp. You can drive quality through actions and activities, ensuring improvements and sustaining implementations, utilizing necessary tools, and providing training across the organization. You understand the significance of interaction and collaboration, actively seeking to influence and implement robust solutions.

Requirements:

  • Trained welding coordinator according to EN ISO 14731
  • Be responsible for updating the Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and conducting procedure qualification tests.
  • Making sure business processes, instructions, and work instructions in the welding area, ensuring clear control of quality and responsibility.
  • Have the overview in relation to certifications and management of welding quality.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in Danish and English, as we are an international group with foreign contacts.

You must be:

  • Process-oriented with a strong drive to prioritize and perform tasks.
  • Comfortable working whit training and instruction
  • Structured and a team player, with the ability to coordinate and execute tasks.
  • Skilled at establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Service-minded and supportive.
