Play a significant part in developing and improving MHI Vestas’ global planning
Are you a Business Intelligence expert, quick at understanding business processes and data? Are you willing to create effective BI reporting solutions enabling the business to make informed decisions? Are you used to working in a matrix organisation, and handling multiple stakeholders? Do you have the necessary expertise to deal with a complex project portfolio?
Tasks & responsibilities: You will…
…be an integral part of the Global Planning organisation that will work conjointly with Sales, Operations, Technology and Global Supply Chain Management. You will be responsible for developing BI reporting solutions based on the Microsoft Power BI platform. Through relevant BI solutions, you are expected to provide insight into the portfolio of project schedules, and act as a professional sparring partner for the business on how to get value out of the data. You will help provide the necessary transparency regarding project risks, status, resource planning, etc.
Relying on your business understanding, and insight of data availability, you will be responsible for designing BI reports that convert needs into functional solutions for efficient decision-making. Your primary data sources will be our data warehouse (running on Microsoft SQL), ERP (running on Microsoft Dynamics 365), and our Primavera database (running on Oracle).
You will also be responsible for:
Engaging business stakeholders, interpret their needs, then develop and test reporting solutions in MS Power BI Developing and maintaining appropriate documentation of BI solutions and reports Drive the governance of Power BI reports in Global Planning Proactively engaging with the stakeholders across the value chain, in order to identify and develop new BI solutions for the business Working jointly with our IT department, and ensuring compliance with corporate data policies
Skills & experience: Our new colleague…
…has several years of experience in developing BI reporting solutions, combined with strong business acumen. You are expected to have significant experience in developing BI solutions on the Microsoft Power BI platform, and that you can understand and fulfil business needs.
We expect at least 5 years of experience as a project manager in a matrix organisation (preferably in the energy industry). You must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables in situations where only limited reaction time exists. It is necessary to be persistent, focused, target oriented with excellent communication skills, flexible to change and used to working under pressure.
We expect that you:
Hold an education within Computer Science, IT, or similar Have great knowledge and experience with Microsoft Power BI and SQL Have knowledge of working with data from Microsoft SQL Work efficiently under pressure, juggle tasks and meet deadlines Have a continuous improvement mindset Are eager to develop new competences
Previous experience with Oracle-based environment is highly valued.
