Responsibilities
This role is about keeping the overview of the combined control system scope and foster system integration, in close collaboration with the project manager and the tech leads. The insights and network obtained through this work will leverage another aspect of the job, which is to take part in the ongoing system engineering activities. Besides a transition towards model-based design, this entails continuous improvement of requirements management, failure mode analysis, and performance level calculations. This with a strong focus on increased automation and tool integration to increase efficiency and quality

As a Software System Tech Lead, you will:
- Participate in full project lifecycles using Agile practices for the software development
- Be engaged during the functional and software requirements definition of the turbine's control systems
- Be committed in writing and updating comprehensive technical documentation and maintain software functionality
- Be responsible for developing and maintaining our control systems for the various hardware components of the turbine
- Be developing high-quality software in an engaging and complex domain
- Engage in root cause analysis to identify potential turbine performance issues
- Be a significant contributor to the continuous improvement of our processes, software, and tools
Qualifications
- MSc or BSc in Computer-science, Electrical Engineering or similar
- Advanced programming skills in C/C++ or Matlab/Simulink
- Object Oriented & State based software design
- Proficiency in software development tools
- Hands-on experience with product or technology development
It's desirable to have:
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Experience in real-time embedded systems and control software
- Programming skills in scripting languages Ruby/Python/Bash
- Experience with socket programming, network concepts, and design
- Experience with Inter-Process Communication (IPC) mechanisms
- Experience with GIT, JIRA, and other Atlassian tools
- Experience with SCRUM and Agile Development
