Converter & Electrical Module is a part of Vestas Power Solutions. Converter & Electrical Module consists of several Sub Modules concentrated on power conversion and transformation. The Converter & Electrical Module is responsible for technology and product development of Converters, Transformers, Switchgears and HV-cables.
The Converter Control Application Sub Module develops and maintains all converter control and protections functionalities for all Vestas converters. We provide first in class converter solutions with quality meeting system and grid requirements.
As Sub Module Owner of Converter Control Application, you will report to the Module Owner of Converter & Electrical Module and be part of the Module management team.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the Sub Module and the performance of the team: Delivering high quality, safe, sustainable and durable design solutions on time at the agreed cost taking the entire value chain and life cycle into account. You will develop employees through coaching and target setting. You must ensure a solid collaboration inside and outside of VPS, with proactive contact to relevant stakeholders to always strive for the best for Vestas’ solutions.
You should at all times have a good overview of all tasks going on in the Sub Module and be prepared to communicate time schedules, resource constraints, and to negotiate priorities.

You will be responsible for:
- The Sub Module and is line manager for the team members
- Full life cycle involvement of all stakeholders for the Sub Module as well as delivering the needed solutions and documentation for the full value chain within the scope of the Sub Module
- Responsible for technical quality of the Sub Module for all product variants, having the approval authority for the Sub Module level
- Ensuring timely execution of Sub Module deliverables such as high-quality solutions and documentation
- Supervising resource planning and delegation of work and budget controlling
- Proactive talent management and development
- Solid people performance and development dialogue (incl. one-to-one, target setting, development plans)
- Coaching employees in execution of daily tasks
- Recruiting new employees and scaling with consultants
- Building and maintaining stakeholder relations across Vestas
- In collaboration with project managers; facilitating planning sessions and following up on progress
- Identifying optimizations in processes and solutions
- Embracing opportunities and changes
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 year's management/project management experience from a large organization
- A bachelor/master in relevant area e.g. Electrical Machine Control or Power Electronics Control
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience as Engineer
- Experienced in management of Software/Control Engineering teams
- Cross cultural understanding and e.g. experience with international companies
