We – Maersk Special Projects & Logistics - are now looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist for the newly established Business Excellence team. The team is established with the aim of being a catalyst for our future level of ambitions within MPL EUR. With this team we combine and collect functions like Customer Integration, Continuous Improvement, Data Management and general Advanced Problem Solving under one roof. We leverage cross-functional knowledge and learning which will generate an engine that ensures we collectively move forward in a harmonic and synchronized way.We offer:

The role as Continuous Improvement Specialist offers a great opportunity to be part of a winning team and be a strong enabler in shaping the success of our region. You will be responsible for finding ways to improve our processes, align expectations with our clients and strive for operational excellence all along developing and maturing global processes etc.

The position will be in Aarhus, but for the right candidate a remote setup could be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

In the Business Excellence team, you will be an important part of a team of 4 experienced colleagues. Other than that, you will be part of a local organization of +150 MPL colleagues.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and strengthen the management systems and processes.
  • Improve performance and create value for stakeholders by driving continuous improvement, customer implementation and data management.
  • Take care of all the value-enhancing elements that sit around an operation.
  • Collaborate and support with each CX team to assure desired performance and service level. Become an ‘Operational Excellence’ ambassador and encourage operational staff to apply best practices.
  • Occasionally be involved in direct operations, and here it might also only be about understand a problem for them to bring back and apply the CI methodology and ensure we constantly learn and develop
  • Assess and agree with the customer on improvement opportunities and quantify the value of those.
  • Lead improvement and corrective projects and ensure the learnings are captured and distributed in Maersk.
  • Lead the implementation of new customer businesses for Maersk.

  • Understanding and passion for driving Operational Excellence in the business
  • Passion for driving continuous customer experience in all we do.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and influence decision makers.
  • Proven and sustained track record of delivery, with focus on driving results through others.
  • Excellent communication skills, including both verbal and written in English.
  • Ability to travel approx. 5-10 days a year.
