The department is responsible for Danish labour and employment law within Novo Nordisk business areas in Denmark. This includes negotiations of collective and local agreements, salary negotiations with local unions, and handling of personnel cases.

Employment Lawyer
The Position
You will be a part of a department accountable for giving advice to managers regarding employment matters and how to understand rules and regulations within labour law.
- You will negotiate with local unions regarding personal cases and organisational adaptations, prepare presentations for management and advise on labour law at the various management levels of the organisation.
- Your job will also include handling warnings and terminations concerning the relevant rules and regulations. In addition, you will act, on an ad hoc basis, as a project manager for different projects.
- You will be doing legal proofreading, ensuring information is aligned in the Danish and English versions and knowing the variations between the national law and our local and collective agreements.
- You must be able to communicate information about current statutory rules and regulations and collective agreements, e.g., by teaching labour law to managers at Novo Nordisk.
- In addition, you will participate in different projects within employee terms and conditions and labour law.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role:
- You have a law degree (Cand.jur / Cand.Merc.Jur) and preferably have a few years of experience from a similar position handling employment law.
- It is an advantage, but not a necessity, if you have experience in the collective bargaining system in Denmark and Danish labour market legislation and experience as a negotiator, e.g., from a business or other organisation, as well as thorough knowledge about collective agreements for hourly-paid employees.
- As our corporate language is English, you must have a good command of the English language besides being fluent in Danish.
- You have an independent personality and can see a broad perspective. You can take initiative and have a positive can-do attitude as well as a sense of humour and duty.
