The position will have strategic impact on the how we use our people data going forward and play a pivotal role across People & Organisation (P&O) and the full value chain. The position will report directly to the Executive Vice President (EVP) of P&O, Monique Carter. The position As the new Vice President of People Analytics, you will be the leader of our newly established People Analytics department, consisting of approximately 30 specialists in various roles globally. This is a unique opportunity to drive change by ensuring our people data is utilized for optimal business decisions for Novo Nordisk. Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop the overall People Analytics strategy, including our approach to working with P&O data throughout the employee life cycle and create a plan for execution
  • Chair the P&O Data Council that has the mandate to set the aspiration and deliver on the needs of the business
  • Create a shared understanding of how we work with data across P&O and build a community of practice across Novo Nordisk
  • Work directly with the Global P&O Management team on cross-functional themes to foster a data-driven decision culture and ensure progress on key priorities
  • Establish new ways for using P&O data to create and improve our analytics capabilities
  • Serve as the Product Owner for the agile delivery team in the Human Resources IT area and have the leadership of all our analytics contributors
  • Coordinate and communicate with the Product Management department within Human Resources IT and the wider business on setting release dates, acceptance criteria and value creation at the product launch while also balancing schedule, scope, and budget
  • Educate our employees to make effective use of P&O data for the full employee life cycle including talent decisions, workforce planning, advanced analytics, and ad hoc reporting
  • Reporting to the EVP of P&O you will be a part of the P&O Management team and will preferably be based in the Novo Nordisk HQ in Bagsvaerd outside of Copenhagen, Denmark. Your Qualifications We expect you to have +8 years of experience working with people analytics, data management, people insights and reporting including a proven track record of establishing a newly formed department. We imagine that you have a post-graduate degree in a related field, e.g., HR, economics, business and/or marketing. Knowing your way around leading and/or developing advanced HR analytics deliverables, tools and strategies is valued as well as a strong background in driving data product development, from strategy to idea to deployment and maintenance – with increased product longevity. Having a track record in leadership of a People and Data Analytics agenda in an international matrix organization is a must. Experience within Agile methodologies, preferably SAFe is seen as a plus. Your appetite for connecting with other people and units have resulted in strong stakeholder management skills, and you make sure that both people insight strategy and execution are utilized to meet end-user needs. You have a strategic mindset and the ability to set direction and can use your leadership experience to lead and motivate highly skilled specialists across cultures and geographies. About the department You will head up a newly formed department built on existing teams and specialists, all of them working with analytics one way or another, most of the department is located in Bangalore/India.
