The position As Data Engineer, your role involves leading the creation of a strong data foundation towards our CMOs (Contract Manufacturing Organisations) to support our ambition of having full end-to-end visibility into our external supply chain. In this capacity, you will work with the latest technologies and have the chance to gain an in-depth understanding of our IT landscape and the supply chain footprint of Novo Nordisk. Your success in this role depends on your collaboration skills, your ability to comprehend your stakeholders needs, and your knowledge of our operational processes. Your main responsibilities include: Connecting the dots between multiple data sources to collect the insights needed by the business Creating, maintaining, and effectively managing sustainable data models supporting decision-making. Playing a key role in establishing an integration platform to incorporate external data into our foundation to facilitate the processes on topics such as inventory forecasting or supplier performance monitoring. Driving continuous improvements by collaborating extensively with teammates and engaging in knowledge sharing through demos, co-development, and sparring. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we imagine you: Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in data engineering, software engineering, computer science, mathematics, or any other relevant field combined with at least 2 years of applied experience as a data engineer. Demonstrate proficiency in using object-oriented programming languages like Python and Java. Have expertise in database design and development, including experience with ETL pipelines and data warehousing. Possess prior experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Azure. Are fluent in English, both written and spoken. It would be considered an advantage if you have experience within supply chain and/or with DevOps principles (including continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), source and version control). As a person, you bring strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with a "can-do" attitude and excellent communication skills. GCM is responsible for Novo Nordisk’s outsourced manufacturing and source Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and semi-finished products into Novo Nordisk production and deliver finished products to customers world-wide. You are going to join our growing GCM Analytics and Digitalisation team who is responsible for driving innovation towards our external production in collaboration with other units in the Novo Nordisk supply chain. You will be based in Søborg and join an international environment characterized by innovation and openness, alongside 8 highly engaged colleagues covering positions such as Data Engineers, Data Analyst and Project Managers, who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of patients worldwide.
