You will join the Group Financial Reporting & Controlling department, which is in charge of the group consolidation, external financial reporting and the financial controlling of all GN entities. We strive to create a strong, effective and efficient internal control environment with full transparency and high quality. We drive the business together with our many stakeholders and create value by having strong procedures and internal controls.
Involvement and development
You will drive a revitalization and continuous improvement of our Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) framework to secure effectiveness and efficiency in our processes and controls as this is one of our key priorities in Group Finance. Your key responsibilities will be:
Revitalize and continuously improve the ICFR framework Develop the annual ICFR plan, using an appropriate risk-based methodology, including any risks or control concerns over the achievement of financial reporting objectives identified by finance management team Develop and improve policies, manuals, guidelines within the area of ICFR Monitor and evaluate ICFR performance through our ICFR management system to ensure that it is functioning as planned and updated as necessary to meet changing risks in operating conditions Execute the annual ICFR plan, including any management requests for special tasks or projects Periodically prepare and report the status of the ICFR plan status and results to be presented to the Audit Committee and management, summarizing the ICFR status and results of reviews, consulting and monitoring activities Develop and maintain technical ICFR advice and instructions/guidance by staying abreast of emerging trends and successful practices in ICFR Work with line management to constructively challenge and improve established and proposed practices and processes, and foster a culture of co-developing agreed solutions with key stakeholders in GN affiliates Provide training and advisory support to line of business relating to the ICFR framework Participation in finance projects like ERP implementation etc. to ensure focus on development of the ICFR environment Coordinate and align ICFR activities with those of the company’s independent public accountants and partner with other Finance functions
You will be part of our Group Financial Reporting & Controlling at the GN Group headquarter in Ballerup, Copenhagen. You will join 14 skilled colleagues working in an atmosphere characterized by trust and freedom to create results.
How you qualify
You are action oriented and proactive with a great drive for execution. Entering a global organization also requires an open mind including the ability to create a constructive dialogue and collaboration across cultural, professional and geographical borders, in English. To succeed you must have excellent organizational skills, a positive attitude without losing eye for detail, and you:
Hold a master’s degree in finance, preferably within business administration & auditing, finance, accounting or similar Have solid experience with internal financial control environment, preferably with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting/controlling governance or auditing with an international organization Have strong knowledge of concepts related to internal controls Have experience with internal control frameworks or tools, concepts and methodology, internal or external audit Have a flair for IT systems and applications, and experience with AX/MS Dynamics, Navision and SAP BPC is an advantage Speak and write English at a high level Are willing to travel 20-30 days annually to our global subsidiaries
