LEO Pharma relies on a number of global Contract Research Organisations (CROs) and Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) to execute our clinical trials with quality compliance within agreed timelines. Would you like to play a key role in supporting our growing portfolio within the clinical outsourcing area? We are looking for a new colleague in Clinical Vendor Management.
Your new department
Clinical Vendor Management is a team of 8 positive, engaged and result-oriented colleagues who value our team spirit highly. Clinical Vendor Management is part of Global Clinical Operations, which is responsible for executing all LEO Pharma A/S sponsored clinical trials in phases I-IV.
Your responsibilities
You will manage all aspects of collaborations with our external partners; from assessing the need to outsource an activity, scouting for the optimal vendors – ensuring a match to LEO’s requirements, to contractual negotiation, performance monitoring and follow-up. You will collaborate and liaise closely with various internal stakeholders such as Clinical Project Managers, Clinical Operations Leads, R&D Quality, Global Procurement, R&D Legal, etc.
In collaborating with internal stakeholders you will be responsible for the performance of our external partners, ensuring appropriate level of vendor relationship management which includes governance set up, vendor oversight and performance evaluation. You will act as a sparring partner to our internal customers in their day to day collaborations with CROs, CMOs and external partners. Hence, the ability to interact successfully with different stakeholders ranging from Senior Management and scientific experts to operational staff is very important.
The work also includes activities related to process optimization. Furthermore, a high degree of complexity and many different activities going on simultaneously are main characteristic in this job. This requires that you have the ability to structure and simplify complex matters, while having a high degree of flexibility, independency and drive.
The position is based in the LEO Headquarter Offices in Ballerup. Some travelling will be required.
Your qualifications
We expect the ideal candidate to hold a MSc. within Life Science, Business Administration, or equivalent. The ideal candidate has at least 3-5 years’ experience within the Pharmaceutical industry in particular within the discipline of clinical outsourcing.
You have a passion for your work and take pride in delivering on time and according to expected quality criteria. You handle stressful situations well and have strong stakeholder management skills. Proficiency with contract language and standard legal terms and conditions for clinical contracts is an advantage.
In addition you should have:
understanding of GXP requirements, and working procedures according to quality and regulatory guidelines in general experience with clinical trials phases I-IV experience with contract negotiation and relationship management strong project and stakeholder management skills process mindset solid quality mindset strong English communication skills, both verbal and in writing cultural sensitivity when dealing with stakeholders both within LEO Pharma and when representing LEO Pharma externally
On a personal level you are open and positive minded, adaptable and robust to change, and most importantly a team player – ready to give a hand when needed.
