Environment and Climate Specialist

We are looking for a new colleague to develop and improve our sustainability work as we are ambitious and keen to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals – SDG’s.

You will be a member of the ESG team in our headquarter in Ballerup and report to the Director of ESG.
Responsibilities as Environment and Climate Specialist
For a newly created department for ESG we are looking for a specialist to work with energy use, CO2 emissions, transport, waste, water, plastics, sustainable development goals and circular economy in a life cycle perspective. You will be responsible for the work with SDG 12 ”Responsible consumption and production” and SGD 13 ”Climate action” including mapping of environmental and societal impacts throughout the value chain, identification of possible actions to mitigate impacts and in defining, implementing and following up on actions
You will contribute with research, sustainability assessments, documentation and suggestion for solutions to diverse and different environmental topics
Additional responsibilities will be to:
Solid experience within environment and sustainability
It is a requirement that you have at least 3-5 years’ experience with environment, sustainability and life cycle assessment. You also have experience with methodologies and thorough documentation practices related to sustainability, e.g. Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).
As a person you are a proactive self-starter with an ability of managing, executing and successfully delivering on several projects simultaneously, with strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
Since we are a global company, you will be involved in cross-cultural collaboration. Therefore, it is important that you communicate on a high level in written and verbal English.

- Identifying, defining and following up on scope 3 CO2 emissions
- Contribute to translate academically difficult topics, to make sure it makes sense and is understood by our stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of presentations, information material etc. to be used by different stakeholders in the organization e.g. sales and marketing
- Contribute to the shared work with materiality assessment and ESG reporting
