Lead Global Program Teams to achieve their goals


The Global Program Lead (GPL) is a highly visible and strategic role that develops and delivers global strate-gies and tactical asset plans through leadership of the cross-functional Global Program Team. For this role, we are looking for a GPL with focus on leading the early pipeline assets up to Proof of Concept. In close collabo-ration with the commercial counterpart, the GPL ensures that the development reflects the agreed TPP and ensures commercial success and that the projects stays within the agreed budget

Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • In close collaboration with your commercial counterpart, lead Global Program Teams (GPTs) to de-velop asset strategies
  • Set the asset vision, and with the GPT, develop effective cross-functional strategies to achieve it
  • Effectively communicate strategy and rationale to Project Governance to enable decision making
  • Lead the GPT to develop/refine the integrated development plan for the asset and execute against the governance approved strategy
  • Ensure that the development program considers the competitive situation and the newest scientific knowledge of the target, the disease and indication, as well as the patient need
  • Maximize value by managing quality, costs/resources, time, opportunity and risks together with the program management line represented by the Global Program Manager on the team
  • Ensure that programs are executed with a focus on quality and speed, while maintaining a collabora-tive team atmosphere.

A driven team player with strong collaborative skills


We are looking for a candidate with at least 10 years pharmaceutical drug development experience, under-standing of the pharmaceutical value chain, and experience from working in cross-functional teams. You have proven project leadership skills and have preferably worked with the early R&D pipeline projects before. You are known for your collaboration skills and have a good understanding of team dynamics and how to promote and support constructive collaboration. You have strong communication skills and are able to communicate effectively with colleagues from a variety of scientific and business disciplines. Additionally, you will also be responsible for communication of asset strategies and plans to the relevant Project Governance Boards and key stakeholders.

Program Leadership resides in R&D Portfolio & Program Leadership in Global Research and Development. We are a great and diverse team of Global Program Leads (GPLs) and LCM leads responsible for our part in lead-ing R&D pipeline projects and LCM teams in alignment with the overall Project and Portfolio Governance in LEO Pharma.
