Economist with an international mindset - for decarbonisation through green gasses


Are you motivated by an outgoing role where all results are yielded in close cooperation with others? And are you able to present our position, involve others and find the pragmatic compromises? Green gasses experience a rapid development these years – in Denmark as well as in the EU – and as our new colleague you will make a difference on an international level.

You will be part of an organisation where flexibility and work life in balance are high on the agenda. You will therefore be offered equipment for a good home workplace in order to be able to vary in the best possible way with being at our office in Ballerup and at home.

Directly linked to the green transition


You will be part of a small unit dedicated on international relations – across sectors – using agile workings methods. The team cooperates with many different stakeholders. Your tasks therefore include many different relations, meetings and cooperations with our internal colleagues on group policy level, energy system development, markets and operation - as well as close and regular contact/travels to neighbouring sister companies (Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Poland) and different European organisations working on decarbonisation through energy system and infrastruture. Examples include Gas Infrastrure Europe, ENTSO-G and Gas for Climate.

The job will be divided on joint efforts with other stakeholders (internal or external) – e.g. workshops, analyses or reporting - as well as individual responsibilities on dedicated subtopics or events, with more time for focusing, innovating or detailing.

For example, your working day may include these tasks:

• Prepare proposals for management and direction on positions and concrete collaborations/solutions – in the form of e.g. biefs, powerpoint presentations and socio-economic calculations
• Participate in collaborations internally and externally to create a framework for the acceleration of green gasses
• Understand the need for green gasses for industry and export

We also have a global layer in our business, via Energinet Associated Acticities, and the job may also include support on these activities.

You can look forward to an exciting job with a steep learning curve and great responsibility, variety and complexity. You will contribute to deliver highly qualitfied input to the group level as well as the political level.

Industrial understanding and socio-economic insight


We are open for different educational background, as the aim is to complement and strengthen our ability to develop new business models and practical solutions for green gasses (biogas and hydrogen), sector system intagration and data/digitalisation. Economists, engineers and others are therefore encouraged to apply. You might come directly from university or have been working 1-2 years in relevant or complementing companies, industries or sectors.
As a person you easily communicate with others, like to bring topics further through compromises, listen to others and have time to explain your thoughts and views. We also hope that you like to travel to different countries.
