Center for Eating and feeding Disorders Research (CEDaR) is now hiring a psychology student assistant for the HALO-trial, a large randomized controlled trial testing of high, medium and low intensity psychotherapies for Binge Eating Disorder at Mental Health Center Ballerup.
About the job
We are in the process of planning the HALO-trial and the pilot study is currently running. The trial will deliver 4 different types and modes of psychotherapy from 2024-2026.
The trial team is led by the head of research Professor Nadia Micali and consist of a senior researcher, a project leader, a PostDoc, 2 PhD students, masters students and clinicians.
As student assistant you will be involved in various tasks, including:
You will join a large team of researchers and clinicians and will receive training and supervision in clinical and research tasks, that will prepare you for your future as a clinical or research psychologist.
If you wish to progress into a PhD position after your masters, this is the perfect job for training your skills and knowledge of applied clinical research in psychotherapy.
We will also offer you to use clinical data for your master thesis to carry out a high-quality independent research project.
CEDaR
You will join a large diverse and multidisciplinary group, comprised of Head of the unit Professor Nadia Micali and 8 staff members (administrator, senior researcher, postdoc, PhD Student, research nurse, clinical researcher, research coordinator).
Research in eating disorders is a highly prioritized research area of the Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark, and you will meet a group of very committed colleagues. We are dedicated to performing research at the highest international level with the aim of providing new insights into what causes eating disorders and better treatments for patients.
You will be a part of a supportive environment based on smiles and teamwork and we offer benefits depending on skills and experience.
Qualifications
The position is hourly paid and you will be paid according to relevant agreements.
Conditions
The position is 6-16 hours per week depending on your availability. We are looking for candidates who can commit to a year or more.
Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organization.

Mental Health Center Ballerup is a part of Copenhagen University Hospital and one of nine departments, that provide treatment for mental disorders in the Capital Region of Denmark. The department consists of ten inpatient wards comprising 157 beds, nine outpatient clinics with several specialized functions and three research groups. We employ around 90 medical doctors and 80 psychologists in addition to nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and technical and administrative staff.

- booking patients for appointments
- conducting qualitative research interviews and transcribe audio files
- help with administration and data entry
- rate psychotherapy sessions on audio
- help produce documents for procedures

- Currently studying a psychology degree at a Danish University with more than 1 year left
- Fluent in Danish
- Great English skills
- Be detail oriented and eager to learn
- Be interested in clinical research, psychotherapy, and psychiatry
- Be flexible in terms of work tasks
