We are a department of user researchers and UX designers who partner with our business colleagues to explore digital opportunities using Design Thinking principles. In smaller teams we help our colleagues mature digital ideas by discovering real end-user problems, which we match with the right solution, whether that’s building software from scratch, partnering with a tech start-up, or buying tech off-the-shelf. We’re solution-focused, but tech-agnostic, and we strive to show early value by being both user-centric and pragmatic. What you will do You will be acting as a Design and User Research consultant on different projects, where you will be the main responsible for gathering user insights and translating them into digital product concepts, from first user interview to building the proof of concept. The user insights you gather will be a crucial part in scoping the projects and increasing end-user awareness in the organisation, and hence great stakeholder management skills are key to success in this role. As a Senior UX Designer, your responsibilities will be to: Drive the design process from start to finish, including user research, ideation, and prototyping, and deliver the first visual and interaction design for the proof of concept using our Design System
Collaborate within a cross-functional team, which includes product owners, developers, innovation consultants, and other designers, and act as the main point of contact toward business experts and end-users
Communicate your findings effectively, ensuring stakeholders understand the link between user insights and design choices, and enabling stakeholders to make the right business choice by also considering viability and feasibility together with your team
Create prototypes in Figma, and have knowledge of systems like Dovetail or Maze
Your competencies We expect you to bring: 4-7 years experience within User Research, UX Design, Product Design, and/or Innovation Facilitation of digital product development
Proficiency in research and design tools such as Figma, Dovetail or Maze
Demonstrated experience within user research methodologies, e.g. personas, interviews, user journeys, and design processes, e.g. design sprints, ideation facilitation and general facilitation, wireframing, user flows and interaction design
Demonstrated track record of driving user-centric processes in cross-functional teams in a pragmatic manner. Bonus if you have (also) done so in the early stages of product development.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders, and the ability to showcase the Design Thinking way of working through convincing deliverables
Excellent facilitation skills, being able to manage different perspectives and keeping an eye on the purpose of any activity. You should be able to facilitate colleagues, end-users and experts through our innovation process.
Self-reflection, being open to feedback, and contributing to a constructive and positive atmosphere
Fluent in English, as our corporate language is English
