VIKING’s exciting SAP journey
VIKING is on a very exciting SAP journey with many exiting SAP projects and an upcoming S/4HANA implementation starting in 2022.
Our current SAP ECC platform, developed from 2005, supports core business areas/processes, using the SAP ECC modules FI/CO, MM, SD, LES, PP, PS, CS, PM and QM. In addition, we run SAP Ariba, SAP Success Factors, SAP Concur, SAP HCM, SAP PO and SAP CPI. SAP also supports our business processes through integration, for example to Service Now and Microsoft solutions.
Where do you come in?
We are looking for an experienced SAP FI/CO Specialist to join our global SAP Applications Management Team of 14 people with colleagues in Thailand, Denmark, Bulgaria, Singapore and China. The position is based in Esbjerg, Denmark.
Reporting to the SAP Applications Management lead, you will be delivering SAP FI/CO and legal solutions through projects, request for changes and 2nd level support – including knowledge building within our business to ensure proper/right utilization of processes and solutions at key/end user level.
Primary tasks and responsibilities
The SAP FI/CO Specialist will play a key role in the transition to SAP S/4HANA and in our continuous development and support of SAP FI/CO and legal solutions.
Key tasks will include:
- Analyze, design, configure and specify areas for development, providing solution documentation and testing in connection with projects (e.g., S/4HANA, roll-out projects, legal projects) – and Request For Changes.
- Project coordination/management/participation
- Act as product owner in the SAP Finance Scrum Team
- Establish monitoring solutions for critical process steps/solutions
- Create end user documentation/manuals
- Arrange and conduct meetings with potential IT vendors on third party solutions and write Request for Proposals (RFPs) for potential vendors – includes writing business cases and investment requests for upper management
- Evaluate vendor responses to RFPs and participate in negotiations with potential IT vendors
- Take responsibility for approval of users/authorizations
Depending on Covid-19 restrictions, you should expect 5-10 travel days globally per year.
Who are you?
In your career you have already been part of larger SAP projects involving multiple stakeholders and you are comfortable aligning the various demands and possibilities. You have a good overview of business processes and the integration with SAP FI/CO in the broader context of business goals and requirements of a global organization.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience with SAP FI/CO and a background in a similar position at a global manufacturing or consulting company using SAP.
- You are used to collaborating with developers and understand key concepts such as table structures and user exits/enhancements
- You have written functional specifications for developers
- You can communicate freely at all organizational levels in English, as well as in Danish
On the personal level you are a team player with a positive and results-oriented attitude.
You will either live in the Esbjerg area or the Triangle Region of Jutland, or you are willing to move to the area from another location.
