At Babcock & Wilcox Vølund, we are very busy in our Aftermarket Service and we are looking for a Service Engineer for our team.

The position
As a member of our service team, you will be part of the back office exploring potential sales leads, submitting tenders and executing orders. Our service business typically handles modification, upgrade, and maintenance projects.
We are a strong team and we are looking for someone who is serious about the job but at the same time is a breath of fresh air in the department. Your working day will mainly consist of handling larger and smaller tenders and providing technical consultation on operations and maintenance.
As a Service Engineer, you do not have sales responsibility but you will utilize contacts and obtain new clients together with Sales. You will amongst others:
It is an exciting and challenging job with flexible working hours; you will have plenty of opportunity to leave your own mark on it. Our service department consists of professional and dedicated employees with an informal tone. We like to work as a team. We have a company lunch program, an employee health care program, and an active staff social club.
You can expect 20-30 travel days.
Qualifications and skills
You have worked in roles such as a project manager or service engineer, you hold an engineering degree from a university or school of marine engineering, and you have experience from energy plants or other types of environmental process plants.
It is an advantage if you have experience of SAP and project management tools like MS Project or Primavera. If you have knowledge of thermodynamics and understand the thermodynamic processes, it is also an advantage. You master Danish and English in writing and speech and your formulating capacity is good.
As to your personal qualities, it is important that you have a structured approach to all project phases and an eye for improvement opportunities – always focusing on the customer. In addition, you have the overview of the projects, you thrive on customer relations, and you have winning manners and a can-do spirit. You ensure that we reach our goals - always respecting our agreements with the customers and their needs, and you are frank, forthcoming, and independent.
Finally, your good communication skills enable you to convey time schedules and project challenges in an easily comprehensible way to colleagues at all levels.

- Carry out or ensure the preparation of larger and smaller tenders
- Provide or ensure technical consultation on operations and maintenance
- Manage or ensure management of larger and smaller refurbishment projects at existing plants
- Enter into technical agreements with subsuppliers and internal departments
- Provide construction site follow-up
- Structure documentation
- Follow-up on project finances and invoicing
- Approve precalculation at beginning of project
- Display creativity in dealing with clients, technology and products
