Esbjerg

For installation and commissioning of offshore wind substation we are looking to hire a senior electrical manager.

This assignment is divided into to 3 work locations:

  • 1. March 2022- April 2023, work place: Damen Shipyards Mangalia, Romania
  • 2. May 2023 - September 2024, work place: Aker Solutions, Stord, Norway
  • 3. October 2024 - April 2025, work place Offshore US

Role Objective:
Responsible for the Employer electrical supervision, Employer electrical installation QC and Employer monitoring of EPC Contractor commissioning activities

Monitor the overall commissioning planning within the agreed construction schedule
Monitor the overall commissioning time schedule and quality control during electrical installation (LV, MV, HV and SCADA components)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor on time commissioning of the offshore substation ready for handover to operation.
  • Establish and manage the offshore commissioning organisation within the full electrical scope.
  • Monitor the overall commissioning planning within the agreed construction schedule.
  • Secure quality of commissioning works and documentation by leading and guiding EPC Contractor.
  • Report commissioning progress/participate in EPC Contractor commissioning meetings.
  • Secure EPC Contractor reporting meets requirements.
  • Ensure that quality is within the agreed standard during construction phase.
  • Monitor that all commissioning is completed in due time and to agreed standard.
  • Manage supervision team.
  • Give input to Design Critical to Quality (CTQ).
  • Ensure compliance with Employers Technical


Competences:

  • Previous experience from similar job
  • Good knowledge of HVDC systems
  • Able to obtain all GWO certificates
  • Able to obtain working Visa for US
  • Excellent knowledge of installation and commissioning procedures incl. time schedules
  • Excellent stakeholder mgmt. skills
  • Flexible in place of work
  • Preferably knowledge of HVDC offshore substations
  • Knowledge of EPC projects
  • Fluent in English - both oral and written
