Your position

In your new role as a Power management System Engineer in the Renewables division, you will primarily be involved in greenfield EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) contracts for offshore substation projects.

As a key member of a specialized mechanical team, your responsibilities will comprise the design and coordination of control, low-voltage, and power management systems associated with diesel generator and fuel systems.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As a Power management Engineer, you will engage with multi-disciplinary systems, mainly working with diesel generator and diesel fuel control systems. A comprehensive understanding of all discipline areas within these systems is essential.

Ensuring seamless integration of these systems with the substation control system is crucial.

This position involves collaborating with external and internal stakeholders to create proposals, technical solutions, and carrying out project documentation.

Experience with power management systems, particularly through generator controllers like Deif or ComAp, is advantageous

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Reading and comprehending applicable technical requirements during the tender and project phases.
  • Designing & specifying diesel generator control and low-voltage philosophy.
  • Taking responsibility for documentation, such as wiring and connection diagrams related to the diesel generator system.
  • Understanding and implementing relevant OT Security requirements applicable to the diesel generator system.
  • Contributing to technical specification, test/verification procedures, operating instructions, etc.
  • Providing technical support to site team.
  • Coordinating and troubleshooting with the customers, suppliers, and project disciplines
  • Facilitating and participating in client workshops and meetings to ensure alignment of scope and technical solutions with the contract.
  • Participating in factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT).
  • Participating in commissioning of diesel generator system on the site (onshore).

Your profile & qualifications

Known for your trustworthiness and reliability delivering on promises and achieving excellent results. You thrive in teamwork but can also work confidently independently.

To succeed in this position, we expect that you have:

  • A relevant educational background, e.g., electrical engineering, marine engineering, or similar experience in automation, electrical, etc.
  • Experience with wiring and connection diagrams.
  • Experience with diesel generator control systems.
  • Experience with Comos is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal English.
  • The ability to work as a multidisciplinary team player.
  • Preferably have previous involvement in the offshore industry
