Do you want to help set direction, align on architecture, and provide guidance for an area that contains a variety of stakeholders across our Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) Quality Control (QC) laboratories?

If it sounds exciting, you might be our new System Architect we are looking for to join our strong team of skilled IT Solution Managers, who are responsible for local laboratory IT systems and computerized equipment in BRD QC and Analytical Manufactory Development.

What will you be doing? In this role you will be part of the BRD QC IT team in DD&IT, PS BRD. The team support projects and activities related to systems in BRD QC laboratories, e.g., infrastructure, user, data and sample management. The systems are present on all current and future BRD QC sites, but the position is based at the BRD main site in Gentofte. Your stakeholders will be Business Project Managers, IT Solution Managers and Architects in the BRD Architecture Functional Group, architects in other areas of the global organization, and members of the ongoing projects and activities within BRD QC.
Some of your core responsibilities will be to:
  • Leverage your understanding of integration of Laboratory systems and ensure the convergence of the BRD IT/OT Vision
  • Develop and maintain the architectural overview of systems covering laboratory operations in our BRD QC laboratories
  • Participate in work with the Target Architectural Framework and take responsibility for the Laboratory Operations area by ensuring scalability, security, and reliability while identifying and prioritizing technical initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Scrum Master and business stakeholders to ensure IT systems align with business needs, and architectural runway is continually being improved.
  • Provide architectural overview, guidance to projects/activities and the IT Solution Managers within BRD QC IT
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in various areas, such as data, integrations, automation, and vendor management
  • Work closely with architect colleagues to ensure that architecture principles and guidelines, best practices are constantly established, evolved, and aligned across DD&IT, PS BRD
  • Bring a Secure by Design mindset, to ensure IT systems are secure, reliable, and in compliance with regulations. Furthermore, to identify and mitigate technical and physical risks, and supporting the guidance and management of the team
  • Candidate profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent) with some years in IT
  • Experience working as a Solution or System Architect
  • Experience with integrations, automation, GAMP,or other production/manufacturing systems from highly regulated area
  • Be confident and assertive in managing vendor relationships to challenge requirements and solutions
  • Proven expertise in seamlessly integrating cloud platforms, particularly Azure or AWS, with operational technologies (OT) and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
  • Familiarity to work in Agile framework SAFe, or other agile methods
  • On a personal level, you have outstanding communications skills, you are curious and enjoy engaging with vendors as well as stakeholders. Furthermore, you are team-oriented and have a strong personal drive to achieve goals. We expect you to be service-minded and thrive in a busy environment. Who will you be working with?
    We welcome you to DD&IT, PS BRD QC where we are 13 colleagues based in Gentofte, who support daily IT operation and deliverables across the BRD QC Laboratories and Analytical Manufactory Development based in Gentofte, Hillerød and Kalundborg. BRD QC and Analytical Manufactory Development continuously work to support the biotech production with a selection of chemical and microbiological analyses of product samples, crucial for always making sure the product is of high quality and ready for release to patients.
