One day, some of our most important production sites can be traced back to the desks of your people. From our global headquarters, the CAD team draws up the layout plans on all kinds of different building projects. We need you to spearhead this crew of experienced experts. Interested?



This is who we are


ROCKWOOL is a global industry leader in the production of many different types of building materials, most famously our mineral wool panels. You will be part of our QA, CAD, and Documentation (QAD) department, of which you will be heading the CAD team at our global headquarters in Hedehusene, Denmark.

As we are in a state of expansion, your team takes on a truly vital role within the company, managing the space of the factory layouts of both greenfield and brownfield factory projects. The layout of our future factories is designed by your employees.

This is the role


You will take the lead in a team of around 10 highly experienced specialists, all of them CAD coordinators and mechanical designers with a mix of practical and design backgrounds. As their direct manager, your job is to guide them, help them grow, set goals, and motivate them to reach those.

Additionally, you will take an active role in shaping the standard operating procedures in the CAD team, defining the way we approach design projects in the future. You will have a seat on the extended management team

More specifically, you can expect to be:

• Handling personnel matters, including employee evaluation and development dialogues, hiring and firing, salary negotiations, etc.
• Help set priorities and guide your team members in their projects
• Advising and collaborating on CAD our with our mechanical department in Poznan

You are a natural, easy-going communicator and an excellent collaborator. You will be working with a team of strong-minded specialists in a large company that does not just change radically from one day to the next – so it is vital that you can stand up for your ideas and are not discouraged by a little adversity.

As to the specifics:

• It is a must that you have a couple of years of experience in leading a team, either as a team leader or project manager, preferably in a large, multinational company
• It would be preferable that you have tangible CAD experience, specifically with Autodesk programs like Navisworks or Inventor
• It would be an advantage to have experience from the construction industry, either from an architectural, engineering, or installation background
