If you're driven to create practical solutions and eager to be part of exciting projects, [xxxxx] could be the ideal partner for your project! Explore logistics and value chain optimization within a dynamic retail environment, tackling real projects that influence operations and business outcomes.

Since our opening in 2013, [xxxxx] has experienced rapid growth and opened more than 820 stores and established a strong presence in eight markets across Europe. The journey continues at full speed with many new openings each year, and as we grow, we are excited to collaborate with enthusiastic students on thesis or project work. Join us in tackling real-world challenges, gaining hands-on experience, and helping us bring fresh insights to our ever-evolving logistics processes.

We imagine that you are...

  • A student within the field of logistics, supply chain management, or related areas.
  • Have analytical skills and the ability to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Have a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Have an interest in retail and logistical processes.

Thesis / Project ideas:

At [xxxxx], we see exciting opportunities within logistics and value chain optimization, and we have outlined a few ideas below to help inspire your project. However, we are also eager to hear your perspective—if you have specific interests or ideas you would like to pursue, we would love to discuss how we can support them. Let’s work together to design a project that aligns with both your academic goals and [xxxxx]'s business needs.

  1. Operational Cost vs. Service Level for High Runner Area at [xxxxx]:
    • Analyze the potential impact on operational costs versus service levels by creating a dedicated high-runner area at [xxxxx]’s warehouses. Design the process for allocating items to this area on a weekly basis and assess how it might enhance efficiency.

  2. Simulation and Analysis of Operational Costs for Additional Driving Aisle at [xxxxx]’s New Warehouse in Hedensted:
    • Simulate and analyze the operational costs and impacts on KPIs of adding an extra driving aisle “or part of it” to our new warehouse in Hedensted. Evaluate how this change would affect warehouse flow and overall productivity.

  3. Daily Ordering Strategy for All Categories at [xxxxx]:
    • Investigate the advantages and challenges of transitioning from category-specific ordering on set days to a daily ordering model at [xxxxx]. Assess how this shift would impact stock levels, fulfillment efficiency, service levels, KPI’s, workflows and operational costs across all logistical departments.

  4. Eliminating Country-Specific Logistics Numbers at [xxxxx]:
    • Explore the advantages and challenges of eliminating country-specific logistic item numbers at [xxxxx], focusing on their impact on relabeling costs, overall warehouse space requirements, and picking efficiency. Assess how consolidating logistic item numbers could streamline operations and reduce complexity across our European warehouses.
