The position As an Experienced Material Engineer at Novo Nordisk, you will:
  • Drive the selection of materials for devices and delivery solutions, including setting requirements, analysing potential materials, and ensuring documentation of requirements
  • Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure the selected materials meet the needed requirements and objectives
  • Provide expert support on tribology (friction and wear) and further develop our expertise within tribology
  • Enable the selection of sustainable materials through innovation, supplier dialogue and collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Establish documentation of regulatory chemical compliance
    • Qualifications To be a competitive candidate, you should have:
  • A MSc and/or PhD in material science, Life Sciencemechanical engineering or any other related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience working within material technology (expertise in material characterisation, analysis, and selection)
  • Experience with thermoplastics and friction. It would be an advantage if you have experience with metals, thermosets and/or ceramics
  • A scientific interest and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Experience in the medical device industry
  • Knowledge of sustainable thermoplastics
  • Knowledge of recycling of thermoplastics
    • As a person, you have strong stakeholder management skills, you are curios and self-driven nature. You are excited about improvement initiatives and processanalytical work. You lead by example, inspiring and motivating your colleagues. About the department The Material Science & Sustainability department at Novo Nordisk drives the strategic direction for sustainability and circular design of devices and delivery solutions, and we are responsible for the material selection in the development of these products.
