Do you want to work in a development environment, where sparring with others, growth and cross-disciplinary learning is important? We are looking for a Platform Engineer ready to share and grow
You will be a part of the agile Deployment & Container Platform department. We work in different feature teams depending on the matter at hand – currently PaaS Migration, PaaS Platform, Secrets Management and Smoothing out deploy pipelines. Our aim is to work across the teams and share knowledge. The teams are responsible for the deployment functionality for the entire development setup in BEC and to drive change in technology and ways of working towards more DevOps in BEC by providing tools to support this. The technologies and platforms used are many folded, but to mention some that we are using today and for tomorrow are Ansible, Python, Kubernetes/OpenShift, WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat, PowerShell, Windows, and Linux.
Your everyday work takes place in an agile set-up, where you are urged to bring your talent into play in a well-established full-service IT house. Here you will help develop high-quality future-proof IT solutions to the Danish financial sector. You will contribute to automatization and create self-service to a full continuous deployment experience in BEC for cloud or on-prem solutions.
Primary task and responsibilities
In the position as Platform Engineer, you will work closely with other development teams in BEC. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

Preferably, you have an educational background at master’s level within IT or equivalent 5+ years of work experience and experience from a similar position working with building deployment services to both on-premise (Classic datacenter), on-premise cloud and public cloud.

- Design and architect the future deployment solutions to support business needs
- Automate and standardize continuous deployment platforms and tools
- Configuration and improvement of tools & services to support BEC in becoming self-service enabled
- Guide BEC’s development teams in their use of the services
- Troubleshoot access and performance issues as well as other issues

- Experience working with one of the following: Deployment tools like Harness, Octopus, and framework
- Experience working with scripting tools: Ansible, Python, or other.
- Knowledge of secret management
- Knowledge of middleware aka WAS, Kubernetes, and Tomcat
- Knowledge of Azure platform and services going forward is a plus
- A mindset that supports “infrastructure as code”
