Do you want to contribute to fighting poverty and inequality in the world? Are you interested in education, human rights and international development? Do you see education as important for developing people and societies? Then you might be one of the interns that we would like to engage to Oxfam IBIS’ education work.
Background
Oxfam IBIS is part of the international confederation, Oxfam, that works to fight the extreme inequality in the world. As an intern, you will be part of contributing to this work in developing countries, globally and in Denmark.

What do we offer?
As an intern at Oxfam IBIS, you will gain thorough insight into an organisation, that works for a better and more equal world by fighting poverty. You will get exciting tasks and new challenges, that can make a difference. At the same time, you will participate in the daily life of the organisation, joint meetings and processes and thus get an insight into organisational processes. Moreover, you will be part of a dynamic and fun workplace with a large international network.
Conditions
We expect the internship to be full time (37 hours/week, non-payment) for five months in the spring of 2022. Expected start: 31/1 2022. We are flexible in relation to your studies and possible study-jobs, so a 30-hour internship may also be a possibility.

Tasks
- Analysis, mapping and documentation of education-related topics and processes
- Support project-related work within the education thematic area
- Communication work, including newsletters, text, and visual presentations
- Support planning and facilitating events, workshops and processes related to our education work – both online and
- Follow national and international task-teams in and outside Oxfam
- Support in developing and maintaining databases and statistics
Competences needed
- You are currently undertaking a university degree in a relevant field
- You are interested in education and international development
- You are strategic and capable of working independently and as part of a team to reach a common goal
- You have good writing skills and are able to communicate complex issues in a simple and understandable way – both orally and in writing
- You speak and write English fluently
- You like being part of a team of good colleagues and engage in social activities as well
Competences – nice to have
- Abilities in a third language, preferably French or Spanish
- Experience in using MS Excel and creating/maintaining databases
- Experience in setting up and using online platforms for meetings/events, such as Zoom or MS Teams
