Institutional partnership advisor
Oxfam IBIS seeks an experienced institutional partnership advisor to support resource mobilization
Oxfam IBIS is a membership driven civil society organisation which has been fighting inequality and injustice for more than 50 years. Since 2016 we have been member of the global Oxfam confederation.
We have been growing as an organisation and have ambitions to grow even further through more strategic donor partnerships that build closer technical and policy cooperation with donor agencies. Our funding comes from a range of donors such as Danida, the European Union, Sida, the Global Partnership for Education and foundations. Most of Oxfam IBIS programs are focused on West and East Africa, Latin America and the MENA region.
The position and the organization
As institutional partnership advisor you will be part of the Program Quality, Innovation and Funding (ProQIF) team in the International Program Department where four positions are dedicated institutional fundraising from bilateral and multilateral donors as well as foundations. The exact portfolio will be agreed based on the incoming candidate’s capacity and experience – you will be able to shape your position.
An institutional fundraising sub-strategy lays out the targets and plans to achieve the ambitions of the organization. You will be expected to take lead in fundraising processes at all stages, from mapping opportunities and pre-positioning, through proposal development to kick-off of secured grants. We see resource mobilization and fundraising as an integrated part of how we work. The work takes place in collaboration with colleagues in Copenhagen and in country offices and with local partners. The tasks require good collaborative skills and intercultural sensitivity as well as flexibility to work with different people for each opportunity.
You will refer to the team leader of the ProQIF team. The workplace will be in Copenhagen at Oxfam IBIS’ headquarters. Some travel can be expected. The position is a full-time permanent position (37 hours/week) and starting date as soon as possible. Salary and working conditions are based on the present collective agreement for Oxfam IBIS.

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.
That means we tackle the inequality that keeps people poor. Together we save, protect and rebuild lives. When disaster strikes, we help people build better lives for themselves, and for others. We take on issues like land rights, climate change and discrimination against women. And we won’t stop until every person on the planet can enjoy life free from poverty.
We are an international confederation of 20 organizations (affiliates) working together with partners and local communities in the areas of humanitarian, development and campaigning, in more than 90 countries.
All our work is led by three core values: Empowerment, Accountability, Inclusiveness.
Oxfam is committed to preventing any type of unwanted behavior at work including sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse, lack of integrity and financial misconduct; and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults. Oxfam expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment through our code of conduct.
We place a high priority on ensuring that only those who share and demonstrate our values are recruited to work for us.
Note: All offers of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and may be subject to appropriate screening checks, which can include criminal records and terrorism finance checks.
