Inter Primo A/S is looking for their new materials specialist. They operate internationally across borders and would like to reinforce the synergies across the individual country-sites. The Materials and Procurement department wants to create a dream team consisting of material specialists and strategic purchasers. Their job is to support the organisation at all sites covering all types of materials used in the production.
Expert on plastics, advisor to sales & procurement – sustainable manufacturing
As one of the new Material Specialists you will be responsible for some of the most used materials on site in Limmared/Dalstrop half of the time. The other half is dedicated to supporting the other Material Specialists and the rest of the group internationally within your area of expertise. The material team will build on the individual’s strengths and knowledge to leverage the team’s combined knowledge base. Inter Primo has an ambition to move further into biobased, recycled and engineering plastics, including reinforced materials, for sustainability and growth reasons.
The role is broad, spanning from hands-on support with test-runs in the production to complex development of new recipes together with clients and internal stakeholders. As plastics has the eye of the public it is vital for Inter Primo that the environmental agenda is observed with focus on how the industry works with bio-based materials, recycled materials, and the reuse of old scrap on the production sites. As Material Specialist you are instrumental in finding and developing solutions within these areas.
Experienced Plastics Engineer with industry background and a commercial mind-set
You probably come with an educational background as Plastics Engineer, Chemical Engineer or similar. You have a professional background from a similar industrial set-up where you have been the senior or lead go-to person on the specific plastics and their properties. Having worked in the industry for at least 7-10 years you have a good understanding of plastics design and construction. You are used to an international scene and work well with colleagues from different cultures. You have a natural interest in the sustainable agenda and have experience from working with critical substances.
As a person you can demonstrate a good business acumen and you understand the commercial side of the business. Furthermore, you manage both internal and external stakeholders, you are a good team-player, and you work through a structured and organised approach. Your communicative style is well received and shows a good portion of service-mindedness.
