As Head of Marketing


The available Marketing Manager position with Columbus Denmark is a maternity cover which starts now and ends in Summer 2023.

You will work closely with your 4 marketing employees in Denmark and the Market Unit (MU) leadership team and sales teams in Denmark to understand customers and market needs and translate that knowledge and data into effective value propositions, communication and campaigns. You will be part of the global marketing leadership team representing Denmark and will help drive selected global projects. You will report to the CMO of Columbus.

Although the position is in Denmark, working out of the Columbus Ballerup office, you will work a lot in an international marketing setting in cooperation with the global marketing managers for the different business lines within Columbus. Your goal on one side is to help global marketing initiatives and campaigns deliver results in Denmark and on the other side to support local leadership and sales initiatives which will all build the Columbus brand and generate demand and leads.

In line with the overall global marketing strategy, themes and framework, you will work with the Danish leadership team to set the tactical marketing prioritizations and direction for the market unit (MU) in Denmark. You will work both on a strategic and operational level being the hub of planning, coordination and follow-up of your own activities as well as advising and guiding your employees in their endeavors. This includes driving project teams, inspiring them to deliver and communicate the necessary plans and reports so all stakeholders know who is doing what, why and when.

Essential duties of the position:

  • Responsible for local execution of global marketing campaigns and activities
  • Create & execute local marketing activities including leads follow-up of all activities
  • Prioritize and align marketing assets, media and channels to ensure optimal use of budgets and resources
  • Leverage external business partners and internal SMEs to increase MU reach and engagement
  • Drive and support the creation of customers references and thought leadership materials
  • Responsible for the MU website, SoMe communications and MU customer loyalty survey program
  • Accountable for DK customer master data in HubSpot (and partly in CRM)
  • Responsible for the account-based marketing initiatives in Denmark
  • People manager for a team of 4 marketing employees and responsible for marketing budget in Denmark

Our wishlist


You are an analytical and creative person. Well structured, and passionate about ‘communications creation’ and successfully driving marketing projects from A to Z. You need to be an efficient communicator in a multi country setting both when speaking and writing. You can view the detailed facts clearly but have a holistic overview. We expect you to have a strong mindset for team excellence, project leadership and digital marketing.

Ideal profile:

  • Experience creating and executing (digital) B2B marketing leads generating campaigns
  • Experience from an international company preferably both HQ and local country work experience
  • A master’s level degree e.g., within marketing communications or international marketing
  • Experience from the software and / or IT consultant services industry
  • Skills and experience with marketing automation (workflows, nurturing campaigns), e-mail marketing and social media marketing in a B2B context
  • Communications and content creation flair and understanding of copy, video, and design
  • Hands-on working knowledge with HubSpot, CRM, the MS Office stack, and Adobe InDesign / Photoshop
  • Strong abilities within marketing project management and working with external marketing vendors
  • People management experience in a marketing setting
  • Strong track record in working together with Sales and Consultants
  • International mindset with excellent Danish and English language skills
  • Passionate and willing to learn and make a difference
