The job

If yes, Terma has a unique opportunity for you as Director, Communications. You will play a critical part in creating Terma’s public image and take the external communication to the next level.
You will be part of a dynamic department with a global scope and responsibility covering Public Affairs, CSR & Compliance, Marketing and Communication, and with a direct report to the SVP of this organization.
Your tasks
You will proactively manage Terma’s external and internal relations with the media and press. Furthermore, you will be handling issue management and crisis communication and provide communication support and advisory for our Group and Business Area Management. In close collaboration with the Marketing Director you will contribute and execute our overall brand and communication strategy.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
Professional qualifications
We expect you to have an educational background as a journalist or master’s in communication and at least 8-10 years of experience working with external communication and public relation. As a person you are outgoing and proactive, and we expect you to be adaptable as the daily agenda can rapidly change. We are looking for the following specific skills:

- Global press coverage
- Proactive development and execution of strategic communication plans
- Manage website content
- Execute communication campaigns on our digital platforms to support branding, commercial projects, product launches, events, etc.
- Media monitoring
- Support shared group functions within communication
- Ensure internal information on press topics
- Planning and executing annual report
- Internal Communication
Professional qualifications
We expect you to have an educational background as a journalist or master’s in communication and at least 8-10 years of experience working with external communication and public relation. As a person you are outgoing and proactive, and we expect you to be adaptable as the daily agenda can rapidly change. We are looking for the following specific skills:
- In-depth understanding of and experience with media relations and conditions of this
- Higher education required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Danish and English
- Pro-active, curious and you keep your finger on the pulse
- Experience from working in an international environment is an advantage
Personal qualifications
- Global mindset
- Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to convert strategy and analysis into specific and measurable actions and deliverables
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent ability to collaborate with others and effectively deal with multiple priorities in a high-pressurized environment
- Systematic coordinator with ability to cooperate at many levels of the organization
- You take ownership of tasks and follow through until completed
- Collaborative team player with ability to work independently
