The Reprocessing and Biocompatibility Team is part of Research and
Development (R&D) in BK Medical.
BK Medical is a global organization with global headquarter in Boston,
Massachusetts, US. The R&D organization has approx. 94 employees, and the
largest development team located in the R&D Center in Herlev, Denmark. In
Herlev the R&D departments includes mechanical engineering, hardware,
software, environmental testing, signal processing, advanced algorithms and the
project organization. There is close collaboration to the development team in
State College, Pennsylvania, US – and as part of the Reprocessing and
Bicompatibility team you will be working closely with our colleagues in the US.
The Reprocessing and Biocompatibility team consists of an experienced senior
biocompatibility specialist and 3 experienced specialists working with validation of
methods for cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of our products. We value
being professional, reliable, honest, open-minded and solution-oriented. We have
a great team that share knowledge to solve challenging tasks together.
Ensuring the ability to deliver safe and sterilizable products for advanced
ultrasound imaging is the ambition. We contribute to this by making the tests,
validations, evaluations and documentation to ensure compliance – as a part of
R&D at BK Medical.

Research and Development
BK Medical has development departments in Denmark and the US. The largest development team is based in Denmark with approximately 94
employees, while there are 11 employees in State College, Pennsylvania, US. We do development in software, hardware, mechanics, signal
processing, and advanced algorithms.
When it comes to research, we have collaborated with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) for more than 20 years. Together, we have
completed 2 high technology projects for advanced ultrasound imaging. We are currently part of a large-scale project with DTU, Danish hospital
Rigshospitalet, and the University of Copenhagen concerning extreme high-resolution ultrasound.
