Engineer for Biopharm Cultivation

Do you want to work with ground-breaking new products and ensure that they are of high quality for our patients? And do you want to help ensure that our production, processes and equipment are deliverable? Then you may be our new colleague.

We are currently looking for an engineer who wants to take part in the fermentation process in our production in Hillerød.

About the department

You will be part of the department Biopharm New Haemophilia API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) Cell culture manufacturing support team, which consists of about 10 employees who are responsible for cell culture and production of API for Refixia © as well as a number of other development products in other therapy areas. You will have a significant role in helping people with serious illness all over the world.

The factory is located in Hillerød, and the production consists of fermentation with mammalian cells and a subsequent purification process.

The job

You will be part of the production support team, who work closely together to support production in the best possible way. Together with the rest of the production support team, you have the responsibility for the fermentation processes, process optimizations and the development of new large-scale processes.

This means that you follow the process and check batch documentation, make systematic problem solving, production improvements and in general keep an eye on the quality of the product. In addition, we are constantly working to improve processes both in terms of production and working methods. You will work closely with the other supporters, QA and the operators, and together you will lead the tasks right to the door. Thus, you have no problem in leaving your desk and follow the operators in the production, in order to fully understand an issue or just being curious about the processes you are responsible for.

When you start, you will be thoroughly trained in our processes and the production facility. You will deal with upscaling of production processes for new products from plant and process design to market production, as well as contributing to the administrative tasks related to the batch documentation and to deal with non-conformities. You can look forward to a dynamic workday with diverse tasks in a factory with an informal tone and good colleagues.

Qualifications

You hold a master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy or another background in natural sciences supplemented with relevant experience from manufacturing of protein in mammalian cells in a GMP environment. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of Delta-V or MES systems

As a person, you thrive on being part of a team with a focus on common goals, and it is completely natural for you to collaborate with different professional groups across the organization.

It will be an advantage if you have experience with LEAN and in general that you work systematically. It is also crucial that you maintain an overview when a deadline approaches, and that you approach the tasks and your colleagues with a positive attitude and a good mood.

You must be able to speak Danish and English
