The position In Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) we are planning to expand our production facilities in Hillerød, Denmark, to meet the future needs of our growing product pipeline. Plant control system is composed of DeltaV (DCS) and various PLC controlled equipment. As our new Automation Engineer, you will be working in a project team, developing, and maintaining the local Historian configuration as well as interfaces to other IT systems. You will be one of the drivers to ensure data availability to other stakeholders. Assignments also could include troubleshooting tasks related to the process control system DCS (DeltaV) and the MES system PAS-X, together with other experienced engineers. You will play a central role in maintaining and optimizing our interface configurations and infrastructure while ensuring the stability and support of our production. In this position, you will primarily work with interfaces between different IT systems, including OSIsoft PI, DeltaV and different PLC controlled equipment. Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Development and maintaining data-driven architectures in close collaboration with data architects, process responsible etc.
  • Maintenance, monitoring and updating configurations and infrastructure of interface servers to ensure stable data transfer between different IT/OT systems.
  • Supporting day-to-day operations and testing IT/OT systems deviations in production environment.
  • Contributing to the efficient execution of our manufacturing processes during hyper-care period after project ends, and the facility enters production.
  • Qualifying & documenting the changes made in IT/OT systems and interfaces also ensuring QA Department approvals. Collaborating with operators and supporters to analyse and identify possible optimizations with special focus on data availability and system interfaces.
  • Understanding the API production processes and ensuring uptime and reliability of interfaces among different IT/OT systems and OSIsoft PI / AVEVA PI Server.
  • Development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.
  • Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have:
  • A Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, Data technician or similar.
  • Experience from working within production support, preferably knowledge of API in a GMP-regulated environment. Preferable experience with validation/qualification.
  • General knowledge of API processes, DCS (Distributed Control system) systems, industrial communications, S88 and OSIsoft PI / AVEVA PI Server.
  • Specific knowledge about data contextualization and PI asset framework.
  • Experience with patch management, backup and restore processes.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
