The position
Our new Mechanical Engineer will assume the role of equipment responsible, taking charge of their specific responsibilities based on their background and interests. This will include handling deviations and implementing preventive measures while also leading improvement initiatives and optimizations. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with skilled workers to ensure the stability of the organization's production equipment. The responsibilities of this role will include conducting systematic problem-solving, ensuring a consistent flow in calibration, and contributing to the supervision of skilled workers to enhance their knowledge of tolerances, fine adjustments, and other similar areas that drive optimal performance of filling lines. Overall, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of production equipment through continuous improvement initiatives and preventive measures.
Since we are a pharmaceutical production, you can expect that there will also be documentation work, so it is important that you like to work with a high level of detail.
Moreover, we work together with many people in the factory – Quality Assurance (QA) and the other support teams – so it can be expected to interact with many different people in the course of a day and will gain a broad network across the organisation.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate have: Academic degree within mechanical engineering or similar studies Background as a technician/craftsman and have an experience in how parts are made Understanding how mechanical adjustments, alignments, dimensioning and tolerances can influence our manufacturing flow and have an experience using these levers to improve performance Interest in working with technical challenges Any experience with GMP or working in a highly regulated environment such as the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, food industry, precision mechanics or aviation will be considered an advantage Additionally, you should be fluent in written and spoken English. We have a varied workday where no two days are the same. Therefore, we are looking for a person who thrives in a dynamic environment, and who acts in a proactive and independent manner. Being a pharmaceutical production, the quality requirements for our products are high – hence, we would like to hear from you if you have a strong quality mindset.
About the department
The department is part of the filling factory Injectable Finished Products (IFP) in Hillerød, which recently started launching the first penfill to support our diabetics journey at Novo Nordisk. You will become part of the Filling & Inspection department, consisting of around 100 engaged colleagues, both skilled workers and supporters, who all work closely together across professional boundaries together as one department. In AP Filling & Inspection, we are responsible for supplying our filling lines with high quality penfills. You will be a part of the team 'Technical Support' together with 17 talented colleagues. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the filling lines, equipment, and processes are running and functioning optimally.
In the coming years the site will be delivering more and more product and for that we need your commitment and skills to optimize our production to be among the best in the world.
